Peanut Butter Banana Pizzelles // Simple Eating

IMG_0762.JPG

Hi guys!!! Hope you all have been doing amazing lately :)

So Gman's grandparents are some of my favorite people. They basically started calling me their granddaughter every since Gman and I became a serious couple years ago. My own grand parents have either already passed or live in the homeland (Shout out to my Nana Lyria all the way in the PI! XO)

Aside from being amazing, kind, and giving people, I tend to never leave Grandma and Grandpa's home without something,  specifically some type of food. Girl's gotta eat, so no complaints here!

One thing they recently gave me was a box of pizzelles from Reko. Pizzelles are traditional Italian waffle cookies that are absolutely DELICIOUS! They can be eaten by themselves, dipped into coffee for a light sweet breakfast, eaten as part of a dessert with a dollop of your favorite ice cream on top, or heated, rolled, filled with creme so you can make your own cannolis!

What I decided to do one fine afternoon for breakfast was have coffee and a few pizzelles with peanut butter and banana. It was inspired by a Pinterest recipe I found that used chocolate pizzelles. I like the vanilla flavored ones the best, so I stuck with those for this recipe.

Peanut Butter Banana Pizzelles

What you need:
-Your favorite jar of peanut butter
-Pack of pizzelles
-Sliced banana pieces

Instructions:
-Smear on a thin layer of peanut butter on one side of each pizzelle
-Place sliced bananas one by one on each peanut butter covered cookie
-Enjoy  :P

It's a sweet and savory snack :) If you're not a peanut butter fan, you can try this with any other kind of nut butter, Nutella, or even cookie butter! Aside from bananas, you can put chocolate chips, granola, or even some toasted coconut flakes.

What's been your favorite snack to munch on lately?

Happy Eating! Xo
