Planting, Growing, and Harvesting in Summer with Jesus - Faithfully Honest

As spring fades away and the temperatures rise, we know that summer has arrived. The change of seasons can be a reminder of the constant change we experience in our lives, including our relationship with Jesus. Just as the seasons bring about different experiences and growth in the natural world, our relationship with Jesus can also go through seasons of change and growth.

Planting

Just as a farmer plants seeds in the spring, we too must plant and nurture the seeds of our relationship with Jesus. This season can be characterized by a desire to grow and learn more about Jesus. Just like a seed needs water and sunlight to grow, we need to water our relationship with Jesus through prayer and reading the Bible. It is also a time to seek out fellowship with other believers, as we learn and grow together.

Growing

As the summer sun shines down, we can see the fruits of our labor in the growth of the plants we have planted. Similarly, in our relationship with Jesus, we can see the growth and progress we have made. This season can be characterized by a deeper understanding of God's love and grace. We can begin to see the ways in which Jesus is working in our lives and the lives of those around us. It is a time to continue to nurture our relationship with Jesus and to allow Him to guide us in our daily lives.

Harvesting

After planting and growing, we eventually see the fruits of our labor as we harvest the crops we have planted and nurtured. Similarly, in our relationship with Jesus, we can see the ways in which He has worked in our lives and the lives of those around us. This season can be characterized by a desire to share our faith with others and to be a witness to the love of Jesus. We can share the fruits of our labor with those around us and help others to grow in their relationship with Jesus.

Let us plant and nurture the seeds of our faith, grow in our understanding of God's love and grace, and share the fruits of our labor with those around us.

Sending love to you!
