Crazy In Love Bridal Shoot // Model Behavior

When Liza (Lee-sah), the owner of Soliza Events, texted me out of the blue last Wednesday, I just knew she had a project I’d be interested in. I worked with Liza about 2 years ago when she planned a beautiful picnic photoshoot at Sunset Park. The theme was a bridal picnic with four other women. Flash forward to last Wednesday, I was asked to be part of another bridal shoot, where Liza and her partner vendors collaborated to build a beautiful set out in Lee Canyon. The theme was “Crazy In Love”, the perfect name for a party since Love Month (February) was upon us!

My role as the “model” was to play an excited, blushing bride throwing a bridal shower for her big day. The color palette presented was light pink, dusty pink, coral and red, a beautiful combination of soft and poppy colors. After reviewing the mood board, color palette and understanding the story, I accepted my role for the shoot!

On the day of the shoot, I started my morning by meeting with the make-up artist, Rosa, owner of @primroseglam. She decided to do a glittery smokey eye with a beautiful contour and a mauve dark pink lip. For hair, I styled it myself and was advised to do big curls for a voluminous look. For jewelry, I brought a pair of floral silver earrings that tied in with the beautiful floral adorned on the set. Rosa also brought a beautiful dainty necklace to the set that just added the right amount of sparkle to my neck.

We traveled to Lee Canyon where we were greeted with 40 some degree weather. Despite the cold and patches of snow on the ground, I slipped into the most beautiful cream-colored dress from @perfectfitrentals. The dress was adorned with gold glitter and made with a gorgeous amount of tulle that made me feel like a princess. My favorite part of the dress was the sleeves, which were separate pieces from the dress. Due to the cold, I kept on my black leggings and hiking boots so I could navigate through the dirt and rocks during the shoot without a hitch.

Then it was time to shoot! After 4 hours, I’m happy to say this is one of my favorite shoots I ever got to be a part of. Below are the images captured by Haley of @haleyannphotography. I loved how she captured these images and it was so much fun to work on this set. Liza, Rosa, Haley and I also ended up making plans to shoot the next day to do an editorial bridal look indoors. But more on that later this month 😉
